Entry to the Young Voices New Visions exhibition has now closed.

Young Voices New Visions is an annual exhibition at Worcester Cathedral, showcasing visual artworks created by children and young people. The exhibition is open to all schools and community groups in Worcestershire who work with children and young people between the ages of 5 - 18. Work can be made collaboratively or by individuals in any visual art medium, but must be submitted by the group leader or teacher. Large-scaleand3D work is particularly welcome.

The theme for the 2024 exhibition is The Sky Above Us and the World Beneath our Feet. Below are some ideas that could be used to provoke group discussion and inspire artwork around this broad theme:

  • What do you see when you look up high?
  • What colours and patterns can you find in nature?
  • What lies deep underground?
  • What might you find in space?
  • What is the life of an insect like?
  • Where do you dream of going one day?
  • Where do you go to feel happy?

A theme has been chosen for the exhibition to unify the artworks submitted by schools and community groups. The following quotes are from visitors and participants to previous Young Voices New Visions exhibitions.

“I was surprised by the degree of originality and creativity expressed by the young people”.

“The exhibition showcased the enormous talent and the imagination of the children and teachers”

“The exhibition made me happy and pleased that so many young people are so creative.”
