We are thrilled to announce that on Wednesday, August 21, the Malvern Cube hosted the official unveiling of The Forge mural. It was lovely to get together with members of the Malvern District Council, local artists, and the families of the young participants joining us to celebrate this remarkable achievement.

Nicola Turrell, Centre Manager of Malvern Cube, expressed the significance of this new mural:

“This is a really important piece of artwork to us at The Cube, not just because it will be seen by the hundreds of visitors we have every week, but because it represents our values as a community. We set this group of young people a brief to design something that shows what we believe in – community, connection, and bringing people together – and that’s exactly what they have done. We’re really proud to have this on display on our building.”

We want to say a huge thank you to all the participants, to artist Mark Riley who worked with the group on their designs, and to Alex who cut the ribbon and marked the mural officially open.

The Forge is a creative programme for young people aged 11 to 18 in Worcestershire. Keep an eye on our social media for information on when and where The Forge will be running next.
