Our Community Arts Coordinator for Malvern Hills District is Lee Farley, appointed in February 2023 to work with the cultural sector to strengthen community connections, building stronger links across the sector, improving health and well-being and reducing isolation. Lee Farley has been living and working in Malvern for over twenty years, supporting many different community arts projects and becoming immersed in the local arts scene. Lee’s background is in theatre; he studied at the University of Warwick and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before moving to London and working as an actor, director, teacher, play worker, workshop leader, and trainer. Lee then moved back to Malvern and started Perfect Circle Theatre Company who create a platform for children and young people to make theatre. Lee is an Associate Lecturer at University of Worcester and has been working in community support in Malvern. Lee is an avid reader, likes all kinds of weird and wonderful music, and occasionally DJs at parties and festivals. The Community Arts Coordinator role is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund via Malvern Hills District Council and is hosted and managed by Severn Arts until March 2026.
